The Turing Network crowdloan is now live! This document will provide information on how to process a contribution.
Preparation
You must have completed the following tasks before you may contribute to the Turing Network Crowdloan.
- You have installed the Polkadot.js wallet extension to your browser (we recommend using Chrome or Mozilla Firefox)
- You have created a Polkadot.js wallet and account (ensure you have securely saved your seed phrase)
- You have transferred KSM to your Polkadot.js wallet
If you have any difficulties with these steps, you can follow the resource below which covers how to set up a Polkadot.js wallet and install the extension.
[Tutorial] Get Neumann network tokens:NEU with Polkadot.js extension
Once you have your wallet and browser prepared — head to the Turing Web App to begin your crowdloan contribution. The link can be found below.

Registering for the Crowdloan
There are 2 different ways to register the crowdloan. You can either contribute via the standard crowdloan method, or you can contribute via Bifrost through the crowdloan site, which grants additional liquidity through the duration of the crowdloan (click here to learn more about Bifrost SALP liquidity mechanism). For users new to crowdloans, we would recommend the standard crowdloan method, but for users who are already familiar with liquid KSM and would like the additional liquidity, the Bifrost method provides a great solution.
Standard Crowdloan Registration
Once you have navigated to our site and have the Polkadot.js extension installed you can follow the prompts to begin your crowdloan contribution.
- Click the Contribute Now button on the web app
Email Registration
Firstly, you will be prompted to input your email address and verify it. An example can be seen below for your reference.
If it is your first time visiting the Turing Web App you will be prompted to verify your email address. To do this please open the registration email that has been sent to your inbox.
Your verification email will come directly from news@oak.tech email address. Follow the prompt on the email to complete registration.
We have included an example verification email below for your reference.
Successful completion of the registration will be displayed on the following screen. Once completed — return to the Turing Web App.
Once registered and back on the web app with your email address filled in, hit confirm.
Once confirmed — You will be prompted to connect your wallet.
Connecting your wallet
Once you have confirmed your email address (and have successfully installed the Polkadot.js wallet) you can click the button to connect your wallet.
Clicking the connect a wallet button will prompt you to select a wallet. If you have created multiple wallets on your polkadot.js account you can select the correct one here.
Selecting a wallet will create a pop-up box from Polkadot.js which will process your request to connect your wallet to the Turing Web App. Confirm that you have selected the correct wallet (the wallet address can be found at the top of the window) and confirm that the address is from a legitimate oak.tech site. Once you have confirmed this you can enter your password and sign the message. A reference image is included below.
Completing this step will prompt you to read and agree to our site’s terms and conditions.
Your wallet is now successfully connected and you may now complete your contribution.
Completing your crowdloan
On the following page you can select your KSM contribution amount. The minimum amount to contribute is 0.1 KSM, although you will not receive the community bonus reward unless you contribute a total of at least 1 KSM over the course of all contributions. Once you have entered the number of KSM you wish to contribute to the field, your estimated TUR rewards will be automatically calculated. Additionally, you can enter your referral code in the field below.
Your total KSM in wallet can be found in the top right corner.
Once you have confirmed that you have entered the correct amount and successfully applied your referral code you can hit the confirm button.
You will then be prompted to authorize and sign the transaction via the polkadot.js extension. Once again, confirm that the details listed here are correct. When you are happy that they are correct, enter your password and sign the transaction.
Once signed — your transaction will be submitted and you will be directed to the following page.
A transaction can take around 15 seconds to go from pending to complete.
Once confirmed you will see the following screen displaying that your transaction is confirmed on Kusama.
Congratulations! You have successfully contributed to the Turing Network Crowdloan. If you want to view the details of your crowdloan including your total KSM locked and your rewards breakdown you can head to the following link.

Completing your crowdloan
The way that Bifrost’s liquidity protocol works is 2 steps:
- You have to send your KSM from the Kusama chain to the Bifrost chain so that Bifrost may generate liquidity tokens for you upon completion of the contribution.
- You have to contribute your KSM on the Bifrost chain to the crowdloan.
This 2 step process requires you to sign each of the transactions, so do not be alarmed if the Polkadot JS extension requests you to sign twice.
Step 1: Sending KSM from Kusama to Bifrost
On the following page you can select your KSM contribution amount. The minimum amount to contribute is 0.1 KSM, although you will not receive the community bonus reward unless you contribute a total of at least 1 KSM over the course of all contributions. Once you have entered the number of KSM you wish to contribute to the field, your estimated TUR rewards will be automatically calculated. Additionally, you can enter your referral code in the field below.
Your total KSM in the wallet can be found in the top right corner.
* If you have already sent KSM over to Bifrost in a previous transaction, you can absolutely use the KSM from the previous transaction, in which case, please skip this step by clicking the `Step 2 — Contribute Bifrost KSM` link at the bottom of this flow.
Once signed — please be patient, it takes time to send KSM across blockchains. A transaction can take around 15 seconds to go from pending to complete.
Step 2: Contributing Bifrost KSM
Once the previous transaction completes, you will be directed to this page, where you will be able to contribute to the crowdloan via Bifrost.
Once you have confirmed that you have entered the correct amount and successfully applied your referral code you can hit the confirm button.
You will then be prompted once again to authorize and sign the transaction via the polkadot.js extension.
You have successfully contributed to the Turing Network Crowdloan via Bifrost. If you want to view the details of your crowdloan including your total KSM locked and your rewards breakdown you can head to the following link.
