Hi everyone,
We’re excited to announce that Neumann network has been deployed and running well since January 10, 2022. In this tutorial, we are going to share how to create a Neumann Network(or Polkadot) wallet with Polkadot.js Chrome extension, and how to retrieve test NEU tokens for testing.
1. Setup a Polkadot Wallet extension
Go to polkadot.js.org and click the “extension” link.
Click the “Download for Chrome” button, and you will be navigated to the Chrome web store page.
Click “Add to Chrome” to install.
After the installation, click on the extension on the top right corner of your Chrome browser, and follow the instructions of the extension to set up your wallet.
Follow the 3 steps in below screenshot to create an account.
Now you are good to go with your polkadot wallet added to your Chrome extension.
2. Set up the Neumann network address in the polkadot-js wallet
For the next step, go to polkadot.js.org , and click on the “apps wallet” button.
On this page you can check the balances of your previously added wallet. Click the icon in the upper left corner and in the pop-up left menu, select Neumann Network in TEST NETWORKS
Click on “Neumann Network”, and then click the “Switch” button at the top of the left menu bar to switch the network
At this time, the page will automatically refresh after passing, and then we can see that the network icon in the upper left corner has changed to Neumann Network.
In the last step, we select “Setting” -> “Metadata” -> “Update metadata” to upgrade data, and click to confirm the upgrade in the confirmation pop-up window.
Refresh the page and you are good to go! You can now view Neumann Network address by right clicking on the “three dots” option button on the right of your wallet, and selecting “Neumann Network”.
3. Get Neumann Network Tokens:NEU!
100 NEU test tokens can be retrieved automatically by each Discord user every 24 hours. Here’s the how.
1. Join our Discord Server.
2. Enter the command line in the oak-testnet-faucet channel:
!faucet //view command help
!drip <NEU_testnet_address> //receive test token, for example !drip 5DX3e6rFJS5T23Wh1dnuqoB4rrMCXf4KxGchSbFmJytVVaSR
