OAK Weekly Update - May 27, 2023

Last week the OAK growth team stayed busy participating in the Polkadot Community and working alongside partners in the ecosystem. The engineering team is growing and expanding its scope of work to optimize our Turing blockchain for more cross-chain integrations. 📚 OAK was featured in a case study publication by a new ecosystem project:

👨‍💻 The OAK Network team submitted the following items for development in May:

We’re thrilled to announce a major pre-release of the Turing Network upgrade for runtime 293 and node version v1.9.0. This release includes the following updates:

• Turing Network code base has been upgraded to the latest Polkadot v0.9.38.
• XCM v3 has been integrated and tested with automation features.
• XCM automation integration has been tested in lower environments of Moonriver and Shiden.
• The XCM-demo Javascript Github repository has been updated for the testing of XCM v3.
• Customer support has been provided for the launch of the Mangata YieldBay Auto-compounder application.

Moreover, we’re setting up the infrastructure for OAK Insights, a robust data API that aims to reduce the development barrier for automation dApp developers. This API will:

• Help dApp developers easily retrieve human-readable automation data, simplifying the interpretation of substrate blockchain data.
• Allow developers to build a dApp without a need to develop a data backend for automation tasks.
• Include a notification feature that allows dApps to notify their users about task execution status via email or telegram.

We’re excited about the possibilities these updates will bring and look forward to seeing how they’re utilized.
