OAK Network, the Web3 hub for secure and trustless automation, is excited to announce our partnership with Blockdaemon, a leading institutional grade blockchain infrastructure provider.

Blockdaemon recently announced a $207 million Series C funding round led by Tiger Global and Sapphire Ventures, cementing their place as the world’s largest blockchain infrastructure company for node management and staking with a valuation of $3.25 billion.

OAK will be leveraging Blockdaemon’s turnkey blockchain infrastructure solutions to help support collator nodes for the Turing Network (OAK’s canary network on Kusama).

Collator nodes are essential infrastructure on Polkadot and Kusama. They maintain a full node copy of the Relay Chain (the backbone of both blockchains) and a specific parachain, allowing a project to author new blocks and execute transactions. Collators are key to the XCMP (Cross-Consensus Message Passing Format).

OAK is proud to leverage Blockdaemon’s industry-leading Polkadot infrastructure to drive our success in the ecosystem.

Blockdaemon’s infrastructure helps pave the way for innovative, high quality entrants to enter the Polkadot space. Readily accessible access to secure, high-quality infrastructure aids Polkadot’s reputation as a key player in Web3.

Why OAK Chose Blockdaemon

OAK is strongly aligned with Blockdaemon’s security-first approach. This approach is at the forefront of both Blockdaemon and OAK’s core values. It reinforces our own dedication to security, without compromising decentralization.

This bedrock of security is the foundation on which we build our blockchain. This is a foundation with reliability at its core.

Additionally, Blockdaemon’s expert team of engineers will serve as a critical resource for OAK when deploying and scaling our ecosystem. Blockdaemon’s global team of engineers will be on-hand at every step of the way.

Blockdaemon’s inclusion will further decentralize OAK Network’s collator set, and simultaneously increase our speed-to-market, by allowing the team at OAK to focus on development and continue to be the leader for trustless automation in Web3.

We look forward to working with Blockdaemon and the OAK community to help collators and nominators earn OAK staking rewards using Blockdaemon’s white glove services.
